I'm trying something new here today - a little recap of our past week. I have decided I want to be a little more proactive about getting a photo book done this year. I find that when I go back through all the photos at the end of the year I am completely overwhelmed and they just end up sitting on the computer. So I thought maybe it would be easier to start doing a weekly collage or two of our everyday pictures so that at the end of the year I just have to upload the files into a photo book.
I had a lot of fun pulling some pictures from last week here. I didn't realize how much we did in one week and how many photos I end up taking! I've also been trying to use Instagram a little more lately and added a couple squares to one of the collages to accommodate the Instagram pics. Now I just have to catch up on the first couple months of the year and keep my fingers crossed that I will continue with this throughout the year. :)
If you would like a copy of these collage templates click here and here (you will need photoshop or photoshop elements to use these templates). For a tutorial on creating clipping masks you can go here. The font I used is learning curve and can be downloaded for free here.
I hope you will enjoy using these templates.

So lovely! I would like to try these templates. Thank you for sharing the links with us. :0)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like them. Let me know if you have any questions about them.
DeleteThese are nice. I've given up on making a photo books of each year even though it would be really nice. I've decided that I'll make books of our trips/holidays. Still need to tackle Ireland. :D If you can keep up with this layout or two per week you'll be in good shape at the end of the year and you'll be my hero! :) Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I will, but I can dream right? I think the grandparents are going to encourage me to keep up with it since they want a copy. Making books of trips is a fantastic idea too.
DeleteGreat idea! I make a photo book every year for the grandparents, and the past few years I've started to dread putting it together because it's so overwhelming. Going through them weekly or monthly instead makes a lot of sense!
ReplyDeleteVERY AWESOME! Thanks for sharing!!!!
ReplyDeleteNo problem. :) I'd love for you to share if you've tried the templates out.
