Swing Arm Wall Sconces

Today we're supposed to get the remainder of our kitchen doors and pieces and hopefully we'll be able to get everything in place this weekend.  Let's just hope we get all the pieces this time!  As we've been waiting for the remainder of our kitchen, I've been trying to source some lighting.  I've left a section beside the upper cabinets open (on the right in the picture in this post) where there will be a shelf. Above the shelf I thought would be the perfect spot for a wall lamp/sconce.  The one I really would love to get is the Bestlite Wall Lamp BL6 by Gubi.  However, I don't think I can justify the cost at the moment, but it does look really lovely in this kitchen:

I'm trying to source some more affordable swing arm sconce options and put together a few of the ones I found.  Number one on the list below is the more expensive lamp by Gubi, but the rest range from the $20 to around $200.  I haven't 100% decided on any one of these and I'd love to hear which is your favourite.  I still haven't thrown out the idea of DIYing something as well. :)

My hopes are high for a very productive weekend in which I will have doors on my kitchen cabinets, toe kicks and all the rest of the bits and bobs.  Then we'll be all set for the countertop install which should be October 7th!  I'm not sure it's realistic to get it all done, but I am excited!

  1. I LOVE all these options and I am a big fan of using swing arm sconces this way. A friend of mine used four Arod IKEA lamps like this and it looked spectacular!!

  4. All those sconces are so elegant and modern - I love them! #6 immediately reminded me of this DIY version from Vintage Revivals - I'm sure you could change up the shape/colors to suit your vision: http://www.vintagerevivals.com/2014/04/diy-wall-sconce-task-lights-a-target-update.html.

  7. Fingers crossed that you'll get all the missing bits and that you'll be able to install everything. Looking forward to hearing the update. :) And I LOOOOOVE the Gubi light. I don't even dare to look at the price now that you mentioned that it was pricy.
