I'm back with the second edition of Some Things. Lately, I've been trying to come up with a plan to finish off some of the spaces in our house. The deck is so close to being done. I'm waiting on some decor items I've ordered and I have a few sewing projects to complete before I can reveal the finished space. The kitchen, on the other hand, is delayed, AGAIN! The cabinet maker's CNC machine is broken and cutting of our handles and doors is on hold. :( However, while I'm waiting on the kitchen I might as well start finishing up some of the other spaces in our house. One of these spaces is the boys' shared bedroom. I made a cloud night light for them and have had clouds on the brain as I think of adding finishing touches to their room. So today's post contains all kinds of cloud things to do:
TO LIGHT: My diy cloud night light.
TO EAT: More Ice Cream! I love this idea of cutting out cloud shapes (you could really cut out any shape). To make it even more fun you can make a little face for your ice cream cloud using some fruits or candies.
TO MAKE: A cloud door mat. Just cut out a cloud shape from a regular rectangular mat. There are a few tutorials for this around, but this one includes a cloud template that might save you a step!
TO WEAR: This handmade t-shirt features an adorable cloud pocket.
TO SEW: Sew a cloud pillow to hang or put on your child's bed. The image is from here and you can find a tutorial here.
TO ORGANIZE: These cloud trays are perfect for organizing a desktop or homework station. Perfect for back to school!
Now I really need to start finishing up some spaces and/or projects around here! Let's hope for a productive weekend around here and for repaired CNC machines!
