2013 Year in Review

It's the last day of 2013 and I thought it would be fun (at least for me) to look back at my first full year of blogging.  As I put together these monthly collages I've noticed that my style changed as the year went by.  It's leaning more and more Scandinavian which has been my goal since having Little Pilot.  After he was born, I felt it very important to expose him to his roots including our interior design.  I don't think I'm nearly where I want to be with respect to our home, but I think I'm getting a sense of what I like.  I feel like the latter months speak more to where my creative head is at right now (which kinda makes sense) although there are quite a few of my favourite projects scattered throughout the year.

For 2014, I haven't made any resolutions, yet!  Little Pilot will be old enough to start junior kindergarten in the fall, which seems crazy!  I don't think he will be able to do full day school at the age of three though!  On the house front, we still have the basement reno that is taking forever.  We are getting closer to the fun part with concrete floors being poured next week!  We also have quite a bit of landscaping to do following our waterproofing.  I'm sure there will be lots of DIY and decor projects along the way too.

Let's take one last look at 2013:
January was my first month of using my new 50 mm lens and I had fun learning to improve my photography:

In February, I tackled a ton of mini mudroom and Valentines projects:
Easter felt early last year, but I did manage to get some Easter projects done:
April was 1/2 birthday month:
May was a hodgepodge of everything and included some of my favourite projects:

June was about gardening and the outdoors:

  13. This entire photo is like a smorgasboard of beautiful images and inspiring projects. You truly inspire me and I'm so happy to have started following along this year. There were several posts I missed the first time around, so I'm off to check them out. And I totally want to put wheels on my coke crate now and make it lego storage. So smart.
