I've always had an advent calendar and it's a pretty big Christmas tradition in our house. We had an advent tree for Little Pilot last year and it worked great, but now with two boys the tiny decorations are too small to hold treats for both boys. This weekend I'm hoping to DIY one if all goes well. I have been pinning a whole bunch to my Pinterest board and thought I'd share with you some of my favourites. There are some really great DIY advent calendars out there!
5. Giant Calendar / 6. Gingerbread Cookies / 7. Cardboard Box Village / 8. Gift Bags / 9. Gift Box Tree
I love all of these. I think I'm going to have a hard time deciding exactly what I'll do with all these great ideas! Have a great weekend!
Find lots of Christmas Inspiration on my Pinterest board!
I have been kicking around making one of these this year. I love the modern one. Have a great weekend Anu! xo Kristin
ReplyDeleteThe modern one is one of my favourites too. Happy weekend!
DeleteLOVE these! i love the branch!
ReplyDeleteI'm a little obsessed with the dowel branch. I may just have to find a place for one in our house!
DeleteSo many great ideas Anu! Thanks for sharing it... Now I have to decide what to do inside the advents:) have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm having the same problem trying to figure out what to put inside the advent calendar as well as narrowing down my options for which one to make!
DeleteHai Anu. Love ur blog. So nice finnish ways of inspirations.
ReplyDeleteAnu. I always wanna find time to make ur kajha mumus sewing machine table.
ReplyDeleteIm a die hard fan of ur great blog. Each post is truly inspiring.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your sweet comments. :) I'm so glad you stopped by today!
DeleteI'm having the same problem as you. I have this little angel girls with tiny pockets. Last year it was every other day for our eldest and every other to the younger one. This year it won't work. I love the book idea as it can be joint. I also love the white parcels wrapped with twine hanging (would go also with the dowel branch. Hard to choose. However, my priority is trying to get the house in order. I feel like I will never get it done. So much to do and so little time.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend and I cannot wait to see your decision and crafting.
It must be hard to even think about crafting in the middle of unpacking. I really like the book idea too. I think we may even have enough books for most of the days already.
DeleteMy favorite is the paper mountains. SO stinking cute.
ReplyDeleteThat one was Little Pilot's favourite too. He thought they were sand castles. :)
DeleteGreat ideas! I've been working on an advent calendar roundup that's going up on Monday too. :) There are so many creative ones out there!
ReplyDeleteOh, I can't wait to see yours! Maybe I'll be inspired to change my advent calendar plan again. :)
DeleteThese are great! I'm going to do the books for the first time this year and just finished up a christmas tree one too. Love those paper mountains though...
ReplyDeleteWith so many great calendars out there it's really hard to decide on just one. :)
DeleteSuch awesome options - I love the giant calendar and the pouches. Getting me ready for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThe pouches look like they could be made out of a shoe organizer. :) I love the scale of the giant calendar and it would work for any other month too.
DeleteGreat round up! I love the modern boxes.
ReplyDeleteThose modern boxes are simple, but so fun arranged in a tree pattern.
DeleteReally wonderful round up! Thanks for compiling it:)
ReplyDeleteThere are so many great calendars out there it was hard to narrow them down to these few! I'm glad you liked them!
DeleteLove the roundup! The ornament branch is such a cute idea.
