WE'RE HAVING A FALL FOX PARTY!

My boys have their birthdays very close together and I'm going to throw them a joint birthday.  I'm not sure how many years I'll be able to do this, but for now, when they're small, we're having a joint party.  The theme(s) for the party is fall and foxes so it's going to be a fall fox party.

I chose these themes since both boys are born close to Thanksgiving (which is in October up here in Canada) and we have had a fox in our neighbourhood that Little Pilot has liked watching.  In the spring, it would go by the front of our house every morning and would walk past again when he was returning to his den (usually with a squirrel in his mouth).  We often talked about how the fox was taking the squirrels to its babies.  Then one evening before bed Little Pilot told me that the fox was rescuing these squirrels from getting run over by the cars.  We had seen a squirrel that got run over a long time ago and he hasn't forgotten it.  I love how little ones see things so innocently. :)  So in short, Little Pilot was really excited to have a fox party and since both boys are fall babies = fall fox party.

I've just started planning the party this past week and have gotten as far as making these invitations.  I made the cards on photoshop and attached some felted acorns like the ones I made for the acorn garland.  I think these will also be the colours for the party: orange, grey, black, white, brown and a little blue.  I have a link to download the photoshop file for the basic template of this invitation as well as links to the fonts at the bottom of the post.

Those are our invites and here are the boys inviting you to their party. :)

So that's the fall fox party invitation.  Our guests should be getting theirs in the mail soon. :)  Now I  just have to come up with the decor, food and party games!

Lastly, here is the information on where to download the invitation template and fonts (in case you're interested):

You can download the photoshop template for these invites here and here.  The invitation is about 3" x 5" in size.  The fonts are Montserrat, Oswald Light, and Satisfy.  To see how to make the felted wool acorns click here.  You will need to use clipping masks to add your photo and animal picture to the template.  This tutorial will show you how to use clipping masks.  Your download will look like this in two separate files for the front and back:

Happy Weekend!

    1. It's pretty unusual to have a fox so close in the city. It's amazing how domesticated wild animals are getting! I'm excited about this party theme. I think it will be a lot of fun. :)
